A Weekend of Gathering | Living Consciously

October 9 & 10, 2026

A Private Invitation From

Juan Luis Betancourt

Hollywood, Florida

We are so glad you're joining us.

Carol and Doug are honored to open their home for this transformative sacred gathering, and this page holds everything you'll want to know before you arrive.

A Sacred Group Circle is a space set aside for reconnecting with yourself, in the company of others who are doing the same. Many who join us describe it as deep, tender, and quietly life-changing. Above all, it is a space held in respect, safety, and confidentiality, and we take that responsibility seriously.

If you'd like to read more about the philosophy behind this work, our teaching on The Journey Toward Yourself is a good place to start.

In the Days Before

One Week Prior

Please set aside recreational substances, sacred plants, and any microdosing for the full week leading up to our time together, so your body and mind arrive clear and ready.

The Day Before

Skip alcohol the day before, and keep caffeine light on the day itself. If you have any dietary restrictions, just let us know ahead of time.

On the day itself, please stop eating 4 hours before the start time, to allow your body to settle. Before you leave, drink two 8 oz glasses of water, ideally with an electrolyte packet (Emergen-C, Ultima, Nuun, or Liquid I.V. all work well).

A Note on Care

Electrolytes are critical to maintain healthy sodium levels in the body and prevent dehydration. Hydrate well before you arrive.

A Closer Look at the Space

The garden, the quiet rooms inside, the corners shaped for rest, all of it has been prepared with this kind of gathering in mind. If you'd like a closer look before you arrive, we invite you to explore the space.

Packing List

Bring With You

  • A reusable water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing, plus a change if you're staying both nights
  • Toiletries
  • A towel, if you live locally

We'll Have Ready

  • Mats, blankets, and pillows
  • Eye masks and ear plugs
  • Water, Gatorade, and coconut water
  • Midnight meals, breakfast, and Saturday brunch for both-day guests

Dress comfortably. We'll be gathered outside in the covered garden, with two quiet, air-conditioned rooms inside if you'd like a change of pace, shared spaces for anyone who needs them. The house has three bathrooms and three showers to share.

About Friday Night

James, of Vibrational Situations, will be offering his somatic bodywork both Friday and Saturday nights.

About Saturday Day

From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, our massage therapist will be on site offering bodywork for an additional fee. If you're only joining us Saturday, you're welcome to come early and take advantage of this time.

After Saturday breakfast, anyone staying for a second night is welcome to head to Hollywood Beach, about fifteen minutes away by rideshare, or simply stay and settle into the garden.

Our booking system for these sessions will be released the week prior to the gathering, we'll send the link directly.

One Line That Explains a Lot

"Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists."

Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now

One Last Thing

If you're feeling unwell in the days beforehand, please reach out to us before making the trip. We ask everyone to take communicable illness seriously, out of care for the whole circle.

If this is your first time joining us, we'll be in touch beforehand for a gentle intake conversation to help prepare you. If you've been with us before, we'll check in about any medications or updates worth knowing ahead of time.

Supporting the Weekend

The offering for the weekend is $1,000 per person ($500 per night).

  • Cash, in person
  • Zelle, to 954-857-6894 (confirmation will appear as "Victoria Hospitality")
  • PayPal, please mark as "friends and family" to avoid fees
  • Cash App and Venmo, @carol-sydnor

If you've already paid a deposit to Juan, that will be applied toward your balance. Your remaining balance can be paid any time up to five days before the gathering, and we ask that it be settled by the night before. If your plans change, we simply ask for five days' notice to cancel.

If you're able, additional contributions are warmly welcomed, both for those who couldn't otherwise join us, and for the continued development of this space and the gatherings it holds.

A Note From Carol & Doug

Long before you arrive, a whole team is already at work behind the scenes, cooking, preparing, and holding space, so that when you walk through the door, all you have to do is be here. This is a space we hold with love, care, and dedication, and we can't wait to share it with you.
